我很久沒有好好的從事〔正業〕了，最近對 Peter Joback 著迷，找到了他的一些基本資料，於是從網站上抓下來，開始翻譯。本來預計一天一段就了不起了，因為翻譯真的好難喔！不過趁著今天星期天，我居然就翻啊翻的把它翻完了（其實中間有一段我卡住了，沒有翻出來），把它放上來，想說也許哪天有人也對他有興趣，或許用的上吧！

先把我翻的寫在下面，接著再放原文。

Peter Joback 有著很棒的歌聲，是位多方面發展且地位不凡的瑞典藝人。白金唱片的紀錄，舞台劇和電視表演，觸角遍及北歐和倫敦西區，Peter Joback 已是國際知名的人物了。

他的上一張雙ＣＤ精選，跨越不同的時期，在瑞典排行榜上拿下至少９週的冠軍，超越了白金唱片，並且使他成為今年最暢銷的藝人。這張精選也在挪威拿下了金唱片。

Peter Joback 最大的突破是他和傳奇人物 ABBA 的 Bjorn Ulvaeus 和 Benny Andersson 合作。在他們的音樂劇〔Kristina fran Duvemala〕（移民）中，他創造了 Robert 這個角色，他的主題曲＜Guldet blev till sand＞打破了瑞典所有的排行紀錄。超過一百萬瑞典人觀賞了這部劇，原聲帶也成了３白金唱片，並且得到瑞典的葛萊美獎。Peter 也以 Robert 這個角色得到他第一座金面具獎。

Cameron Mancintosh 很早就發現 Peter 的才華，讓他主演〔西貢小姐〕裡的 Chris，這齣戲在１９９７年於倫敦西區的 Theatre Royal Drury Lane 上演。３年後在同一個劇院，Peter 又在 Macintosh 原作的〔紫屋魔戀〕裡創造了 Michael 這個角色。

Peter 將舞台劇，演唱會，巡迴演唱，獨角戲，和唱片等各種型態的演出以瑞典語和英語結合在一起。他的每一張錄音室作品都為他拿下金唱片和白金唱片，也得到了一些葛萊美獎的提名。他難得的才華讓他不管是在大型交響樂團或是小規模演唱都得心應手，而且在這些場合裡都擄獲觀眾的心。

他的舞台表演和專輯都得到了高度的讚揚。事實上，Peter 的個人耶誕專輯在２００２年出版，它被稱為〔有史以來最棒的耶誕專輯〕。在這張專輯裡，他和挪威知名女歌手 Sissel Kyrkjebo 合作了瑞典語版本的經典名作：Van Morrison 的＜Be tough my vision＞。之後他們都互為彼此演唱會的常客。

在２００４年 Peter 與國際知名，由 Nick Davies 指揮的哥登堡交響樂團合作了〔Storybook〕，Peter 以全新編曲演唱了許多經典名作。樂團和 Peter 出版了一張唱片，得到了金唱片獎，也共同在瑞典的環球體育場（ Globe Arena）和斯堪那地維亞體育場（Scandinavium Arena）表演二場。這張專輯將 Peter 推向挪威的巨星地位。他在２００５年的個人巡迴表演在觀眾和媒體間都得到高度肯定。

Peter 在表演上的創造力和魅力也讓他演出二個電視特輯，而且都在蒙特勒影視獎（Montreux Festival）中入圍銀玫瑰獎。

Peter Joback has established himself as one of the most prolific and respected Swedish artists - an extraordinary performer with an amazing voice. A platinumselling recording artist combined with extensive performances on stage and TV in Scandinavia and London's West End, Peter Joback is also a highly regarded name internationally.

Peter's latest albumrelease, a double-cd with a collection of songs from his extensive career has spent no less than nine weeks as No. 1 in the Swedish charts, well passing platinum status and making Peter the best selling artist of all, so far this year. The album is also a gold album in Norway.

Peter started 2006 playing the MC in a highly successful production of the classic Cabaret in Stockholm. He received massive critical praise as well as his second Golden Mask (Tony Award) for his achievement and he continues in Cabaret in Stockholm this season and in Gothenburg January 2007. Peter has been a creative force in this production as he already in 2003 gave a stunning performance as the MC at Gladsaxe Theatre in Copenhagen.

Peter Joback got his big break through his collaboration with ABBA legends Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson. In their epic musical "Kristina fran Duvemala" (The Emigrants) Peter created the role of "Robert" and his theme song "Guldet blev till sand" broke every record in the Swedish charts. The musical was seen by over 1 milion Swedes and the original cast CD-box became a tripple-platinum album and received several Swedish grammy awards. Peter received his first Golden Mask for his role as Robert.

Cameron Macintosh early discovered Peter's talent and offered him the lead as "Chris" in Miss Saigon at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London's West End in 1997. Three years later at the same theatre, Peter created the role of "Michael" in Macintosh's original production of "The Witches of Eastwick".

Peter has combined his theatre work with concerts, tours, one-man-shows and albums, both in Swedish and in English. As a recording artist, Peter has been awarded gold- and platinum discs for all of his releases as well as several Grammy nominations. Peter has the rare ability and talent to excell with both big symphony orchestras as well as with small acoustic settings and he truly captures the audience in both scenes.

His many stage performances and albums have been met with high critical acclaim. In fact, Peter's very personal Christmas album which was released 2002, is regarded as "The Ultimate Christmas album of all times…" On this album Peter also teamed up with Norwegian superstar Ms Sissel Kyrkjebo in a classic duet of Van Morrison's "Be though my vision" in a Swedish translation. Peter and Sisssel have since been frequent guests at eachother's concerts.

In 2004 Peter collaborated with the internationally renowned Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra conducted by Nick Davies in a project called "Storybook" where Peter performed classic songs in brand new arrangements. GSO and Peter released a CD which became a Gold Disc and also did two concert sin the Globe Arena and Scandinavium Arena in Sweden. The album also brought Peter to a superstar status in Norway. His first solo-tour there 2005 was a stunning success both with audience and media.

Peter's creativity and charisma as a performer has been captured in two TV-specials, both of which were nominated for a Silver Rose a the Montreux Festival.
